My name is Dr. Carol Breiling. I am the CEO and Lead Instructor for the Center for Higher Purpose Addiction Counselor Academy located on Howe Avenue in Sacramento. I am the Supervisory Lead for the Center's "Triad for Change", an Addiction Recovery Outpatient Treatment Program.

The Center for Higher Purpose - Triad For Change offers:

I offer Bio-Psycho-Social Assessments, Level of Care (LOCUS), SUD ASAMs, and HCR-20 Risk Assessments to assist in the legal matters of Court-mandated or Restorative Justice clients.
  • Educational Academy - Raising up the Next Generation of Substance Use Disorder Counselors (offering Practicum and Internship experiences to students)
My Military Career: US Navy & US Air Force (Ret.)

I am a native New Yorker who moved to Northern California in 1985 upon joining the US Navy on a Military Leave of Absence from Eaton Corporation (like Grumman) on Long Island where my career begain. I was a Contracts Administrator for Eaton Corp. Upon joining the US Navy, I served at NAS Moffett Field and NAS Alameda as a Logistics Specialist when those two bases were in operation. I left the military to have children and raise a family in Vacaville, CA. I took a 16-year break in service. In between my enlistments I served as a Government Contractor in Sunnyvale for Onizuka AFS as the Director of Finance and Human Resource Director. I reentered the military (2007-2014), when I joined the Air Force and served at Travis AFB and at the NOSC in Sacramento. I retired out with nearly 12-years as a Disabled Veteran after extensive injuries while on active duty having served during the Gulf War & Desert Storm conflicts. I was blessed to have traveled overseas to see a good part of the world while serving our great country. I received new career skills through the V.A. Educational Program where I began my career in the Field of Psychology (2010).
