This 9-hour Orientation Class is designed to give you a brief overview of the Substance Abuse Counselor career field by introducing the following: A comprehensive Review of the governing body we work with who will finalize your certification (CADTP).
Students will also receive a brief overview that covers professional & ethical responsibilities of a Substance Use Disorder / Addiction Counselor such as:
* Confidentiality Privacy/HIPAA standards
* Professional boundaries
* Ethical Pitfalls & Violations
* Discovering the importance of the ASAM criteria
* Completion of a mock ASAM assessment
